Pores

What are enlarged pores?

Dilated pores correspond to micro-orifices present on the surface of the skin allowing the excretion of sebum and sweat. Combination to oily skin has an irregular skin texture with more or less enlarged pores, blackheads or even skin that tends to shine quickly during the day due to excess sebum. But irregular skin texture and dilated pores are not only on young skin: as you age, skin texture becomes less smooth, pores widen with sagging skin and the lack of firmness that sets in.

The dilated pores are located on the middle zone of the face (also called the T zone) which also secretes more sebum: the forehead, the nose and the wings of the nose and the chin.

How to tighten enlarged pores?

You clean your face twice a day to remove sebum and pollution particles, preferably with a product that rinses off with water, a cleansing oil or a lotion. In the morning, choose a care product with a light texture: sebum-regulating or mattifying serum, gel or cream. In the evening, apply a product with fruit acids (AHA or Alpha Hydroxy Acids) or BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) to facilitate the elimination of blackheads on the nose but also on the cheeks and improve dilated pores. Other treatments such as scrubs or beauty masks are only auxiliary solutions. We avoid the application of oils that could promote imperfections. Finally, we moderate our exposure to the sun.
